On July 7, Korea University Sejong Campus signed a donation agreement worth $50,000 with the Korean American Youth Assistance Coalition (KAYAC).

 

The signing ceremony was attended by four representatives: Yang Jiwoon, Vice President of Korea University Sejong Campus; Kim Jeonghak, Dean of the Office of Admissions, Public Relations and International Affairs; David Choe, President of KAYAC; and Calvin Song, a member of KAYAC’s Board of Directors.

 

Under the agreement, KAYAC will donate a total of $50,000 to Korea University Sejong Campus over the next five years, contributing $10,000 annually. The donation will be used to support the construction of Korea University’s Joint Campus.

 

In addition to the donation agreement, the two organizations also signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU). Through this partnership, Korea University Sejong Campus and KAYAC will further strengthen their collaborative foundation for advancing education and nurturing future talented individuals, while continuing to explore various opportunities for exchange and cooperation in overseas Korean youth education and global talent human resource development.

 

Vice President Yang Jiwoon expressed his appreciation, saying, “We sincerely thank KAYAC for sharing our vision of advancing Korea University Sejong Campus and fostering future leaders. We will make every effort to ensure that this generous donation is used meaningfully to support student growth and enhance the University’s educational competitiveness.”

 

David Choe, President of KAYAC, stated, “Supporting education for future generations has always been one of our foundation’s core values. We hope this agreement will help students at Korea University Sejong Campus pursue even greater aspirations.”

 

Based in New York, the Korean American Youth Assistance Coalition (KAYAC) is dedicated to helping Korean American youth develop a proper understanding of Korea’s history and culture while strengthening their identity as members of the Korean people and growing into global leaders through a variety of educational support programs.

 

KAYAC and Korea University Sejong Campus jointly organize an annual homeland visit program for Korean American youth, providing participants with opportunities to experience Korea’s history, culture, and industries firsthand while interacting with university student mentors.
