2026학년도 2학기 대학원 학위논문제출자격 외국어시험 면제신청 접수 및 대체어학강좌 안내

 

대학원학칙 일반대학원 시행세칙 제4장 제38조에 의거하여 학위논문제출자격 외국어시험 면제신청 접수를 아래와 같이 실시하오니 필히 접수기간 내에 면제신청을 하시기 바랍니다.

 

 ※ 포털(KUPID)에서 외국어시험 면제 충족여부를 확인 가능합니다.
    포털(KUPID)->졸업-> 학위청구논문-> 학위청구논문제출자격요건조회 페이지에서 확인

※ 외국인은 본인의 국적(모국어사용기준)을 제외한 언어 응시 가능

※ 외국어시험은 각 학과별 내규에 따라 달리 시행될 수 있음

※ 한문은 대학원 외국어시험에서 응시한 합격자에 한해 인정

※ 아래 해당 학과의 외국인은 반드시 한국어를 응시하여야 함

고전번역협동과정, 문화유산학협동과정, 국어국문, 역사, 보건학협동과정, 미디어학과(25학년도 2학기 신입생부터 적용)

※ 내국인(대한민국 국적) 박사과정은 영어만 신청 혹은 아래 해당학과는 제2외국어도 충족해야함

   [외국어시험 면제신청 접수]

    ※기간에 대한 별도 구제 절차는 절대 없으므로 기간을 꼭 필히 지켜주시기 바랍니다※

1. 신청대상 : 일반대학원 석사, 박사 및 석·박사통합과정생
2. 신청기간: 2026년 9월 7일(월) 10:00 ~ 2026년 9월 28일(월) 23:59까지 (포털 제출 건에 한함, 직접 제출 건은 9월 23일(수) 17:00까지)
    : 한국어 포함 면제기준표에 있는 모든 외국어 종류 신청 가능
    * 신청기간 이후 면제신청이 불가하오니 신청기간 기한 엄수 부탁드립니다.
  ◆ 유의사항 : 2026년 10월 학위청구논문 심사 신청 일정에 문제가 생기므로 반드시 신청 기한을 엄수해주시길 바랍니다

3. 신청방법
  가. 공인외국어성적표 : KUPID - 졸업- 각종시험 - 외국어시험 면제신청 - 신청화면 에서 접수일 기준 유효기간이 만료하지 않은 공인외국어 성적표 스캔본을 첨부하여 파일 업로드
  나. 입학당시 해외대학 학위기를 제출 하셨을 경우
      - 입학 당시 해외대학 학위기를 이미 제출하신 경우, 별도로 학위기 원본을 제출하실 필요는 없습니다.
      - 해외 대학 학위기 면제 신청시 첨부파일의 면제신청 입력 예시를 확인바랍니다.       

   ※ 단, 당해 학기 신입생의 경우 입학 당시 제출하였어도 면제 신청 이후 학위기 원본을 지참하여 대학원행정팀에서 원본 대조를 반드시 진행하셔야 하오니 유의 바랍니다.       

   ※ 입학 당시 해외대학 학위기를 미제출 할 경우에는 학위기 원본을 가지고 원본 대조 필수(원본을 가져와서 원본확인 필수, 면제신청 기간내 원본 대조 완료해야함)
          - 원본 확인 장소(서울): 중앙도서관(대학원) 127호 대학원행정팀 / 원본 확인 시간 : 10:00 ~ 17:00(점심시간 12:00 ~ 1:00)

                                 (세종): 산학협력관 618호  / 원본 확인 시간 : 10:00 ~ 17:00(점심시간 12:00 ~ 1:00)

  다. 대체어학강좌 B학점 이상 취득자 및 교내 졸업자격영어시험 합격자는 별도 면제신청이 필요없음
       (포털에서 합격여부 확인 : KUPID - 졸업 - 각종시험 - 각종시험합격내역조회 or KUPID - 졸업 - 학위청구논문제출요건조회 - 학위청구논문제출자격요건 충족결과 - 외국어시험 '충족/미충족'확인, 하단의 영어/외국어시험 확인)
  라. 본교 국제어학원 또는 세종 국제교류교육원에서 개설한 한국어 정규과정(2급이상과정) 에서 B학점 이상의 성적을 취득한 자 
       : 성적표를 스캔하여 업로드
  마. 한국어센터 단기집중과정에서 3급 A학점 이상(4급 이상 이수 포함)의 성적을 취득한 자
      : 성적표를 스캔하여 업로드
   ※  봄학기, 여름학기 1차, 2차 -> 당해년도 2학기 논문심사신청에 반영 / 겨울학기 -> 다음년도 1학기 논문 심사신청에 반영


4. 2026학년도 2학기 면제신청 확정일 : 10월 16(금) 오후 3시 예정
   ▶ 면제신청 여부 확인 방법
      (1) KUPID - 졸업 - 각종시험 - 각종시험합격내역조회
      (2) KUPID - 졸업 - 학위청구논문제출요건조회 - 학위청구논문제출자격요건 충족결과 - 외국어시험 '충족/미충족'확인 or 하단의 영어/외국어시험 확인 

5. 유의사항
  가. 2023학년도 2학기부터 공인어학시험 성적표의 유효기간이 주관 기관에 따라 변동되었으니 면제 기준표를 확인요함.
  나. 성적표의 유효기간은 첨부파일의 기준표 확인 
  다. 접수기간 중 만료되는 성적의 경우 만료 전 업로드하고 외국어시험 담당자에게 반드시 메일 통보함.

          ※ 메일 내용으로 학번, 이름, 시험명, 만료기간 반드시 작성 바람
  라. 입학당시 해외학위기를 미제출 한 경우 반드시 원본을 대학원행정팀으로 가져와 원본대조를 해야함.
  마. 한국어정규과정 수료생은 성적표를 스캔하여 신청
  바. 외국어센터에서 진행하는 교내 졸업자격 영어시험은 2026년 10월 3일 토익시험까지 반영함

[대체어학강좌 안내]
가. 대체 어학강좌 수강 후 B학점 이상(일반대학원 기준 대학원에 따라 기준상이) 을 취득하면 외국어 시험을 합격한 것으로 간주
    ** 봄학기, 여름학기 대체어학강좌 -> 2학기 논문심사신청에 반영 / 가을학기, 겨울학기 대체어학강좌 -> 다음년도 1학기 논문심사신청에 반영
    ※ 강좌 신청 자격 기준은 대학원 별로 다르므로 소속대학원 행정팀으로 문의

Fall Semester 2026 Notice on Application for Exemption from the Foreign Language Examination

※ You can check whether you meet the requirements for exemption from the foreign language examination via the portal (KUPID).

* International Students can not choose their own language as a first or secondary language exam. Please check the internal regulations of each department.


 ※ Second foreign language for doctoral degrees
The 16 departments that require a secondary foreign language exam are

Law, Korean Language and Literature, English Language and Literature, Chinese and Japanese Language and Literature, Russian Language and Literature, French Language and Literature, German Language and Literature, Spanish Language and Literature, Historical Studies, Sociology, Linguistics, Philosophy, Visual Culture (interdisciplinary), Comparative Literature & Comparative Culture(interdisciplinary), Cultural Heritage Studies (Interdisciplinary), Department of Archaeology and Art History

 ※ Foreigners in the following department must take the Korean language test.

Classics Translation, Cultural Heritage Studies (Interdisciplinary), Korean Language and Literature, Historical Studies, Program in Public Health, Department of Media and Communication(To be applied starting with new students in Fall 2025)

 ※ The countries listed below are those where English is the native language. Students from these countries are not permitted to choose English as their first or second foreign language.

 ※ A second foreign language exam for Cultural Heritage Studies (interdisciplinary) shall be required from 2011 Spring Semester onwards.

Please be sure to observe the deadline as there is no separate relief procedure for the deadline.

※ Foreign language proficiency requirements for thesis submission eligibility must be applied for separately from those submitted at the time of admission.

  1. Applicants: Master's, doctoral, and combined master's and doctoral students in general graduate schools
     A. Period: September 7(Mon.) 10:00 ~ 28(Mon.)
       :All foreign language categories on the exemption list, including Korean

     B. Online application: Kupid → Graduation → Exmainations → Foreign Language Exam Exemption Application
        : Upload a file by attaching a scan of your certified foreign language transcript that is not expired as of the date of application.

     C. If you submitted your overseas university diploma at the time of admission, you do not need to submit the original diploma separately.
        : Please check the example of exemption application input in the attachment when applying for exemption of overseas university degree.
       ※  However, for newly admitted students of the current semester, even if the overseas university diploma was submitted at the time of admission, you must bring the original diploma and complete the original document verification at the Graduate Administration Team after submitting the exemption application. Please take note of this requirement.
      ※ If you do not submit your overseas university diploma at the time of admission, you must bring the original diploma and check the original (you must bring the original and check the original, and you must complete the original check within the exemption application period).
    - Location(Seoul campuses) : Graduate Administration Team, Central Library (Graduate School), Room 127 / Hours: 10:00 ~ 17:00 (Lunch break 12:00 ~ 1:00)

 2. Applicants who pass the comprehensive exam will be announced at PM 3:00 on October 16 (Fri.).

 3. Notice
  a. From the second semester of the 2023 academic year, the validity period of the official language test score report has changed depending on the host institution, so please check the exemption criteria table.
  b. For the validity period of the score report, please check the attached table. 
  c. If your score expires during the application period, upload it before it expires and notify the person in charge of the foreign language test by phone or email.

  d. If you have not submitted your overseas degree at the time of admission, you must bring the original to the Graduate School Administration Team for verification.
  e. students who have acquired a grade of B or higher in a regular Korean language course at Level 2 (including completion of Level 3 or higher) must scan their transcripts and apply.
  f. Applicants who have achieved a grade of A or higher in Level 3 of the Korean Language Center’s Intensive Short-Term Program (including completion of Level 4 or higher) must scan their transcripts and apply.
         ※ The completion semester will determine the semester in which the result is recognized for the thesis/dissertation review application, as follows:
           * Spring Semester / Summer 1st Semester / Summer 2nd Semester : Reflected in the thesis/dissertation review application for the second semester.
           * Winter Semester : The result will be reflected in the thesis/dissertation review application for the first semester of the following academic year.
  g. The on-campus graduation qualifying English test conducted by the Foreign Language Center will be reflected until the October 3, 2026 TOEIC test.
